Working visit in Yaounde of Honourable Calixte NGANONGO, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee of UMAC (Monetary Union of Central Africa)

After chairing two board of directors meetings, one being extraordinary and held on march 27, 2017, Honorable Calixte NGANONGO, Miniser of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio is going to chair tomorrow March 31, 2017 the sworn into office ceremony of Mr. Abbas Mahamat Tolli, a national of Chad, as governor of BEAC (Bank of Central African States) in Yaounde, for a seven-year term.

 

His candidacy was backed by the Heads of States of the sub-region at their extraordinary meeting held last July in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

 

Mr Abbas Mahamat Tolli was born in 1972 at Abeche and has a brilliant school and university background.

 

After obtaining his Bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Quebec in Canada, he has held many executive posts in his country - director of customs and indirect tax, director of cabinet of President Idriss Deby Ipno, before serving as Minister of finance of Chad from 2005 to 2008. He also served as Minister of infrastructure and equipment for a short time and as Secretary General of COBAC ( Bank Commission of Central Africa) before being appointed at the head of the Central African States Development Bank (BDEAC).

 

Known to be a good manager, Mr. Abbas Mahamat Tolli, nephew of the Chadian President, has plenty of work ahead of him. He will have to take up the challenge to keep BEAC in a good financial state after the job done by Mr. Lucas ABAGA NCHAMA, a national of Equatorial Guinea .
