Parliament – The State budget for 2019 financial year adopted at the sum of 2067 billion 673 million F CFA
The Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, presented the budget of Congo-Brazzaville – 2019 financial year, in front of the National Assembly, Thursday 20, and the Senate, Friday 21 December 2018. These two houses of the Parliament adopted this financial bill unanimously, with amendment, to the sum of 2067 billion 673 million F CFA, against 1602 billion 600 million FCFA in 2018, an increase of more than 465 billion FCFA.
The State budget for 2019 financial year, amounts in expenditures to 1468 billion 752 million FCFA, and provides a projected level of the budget surplus of 518 billion 398 million FCFA, intended to fund a part of the cash deficit at -1, 024 billion 189 million FCFA. This cash deficit is estimated at 1, 023 billion FCFA, the Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, explained.
“After the expected recovery of growth, in late 2018 to 2 percent, the trend should strengthen to reach a rate of 3,2 percent in 2019, with the strengthening of the non-oil sector whose growth is projected to 1,3 percent, against a recessionary trend of -4,3% in 2018”, he said.
