Audience at the Ministry of Finance and Budget

"Russian oil company Lukoil Up Stream and Italian oil company ENI will soon carry out a new exploration project in Congo", Ivan V. Romanovsky said.

On Wednesday 7 October 2020 in Brazzaville, the Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, and his colleague in charge of the Budget, Ludovic Ngatsé, received in audience Ivan V. Romanovsky, Vice-President for the America, West Africa and Europe zone of the Russian oil company Lukoil Up Stream Congo.

At the end of the meeting, Ivan V. Romanovsky spoke to the press: "We discussed our future investments in Congo. As you know, Lukoil Up Stream Congo operates jointly with ENI-Congo on the Marine XII field (Nene Banga/Litchenjili). We also talked about the future project that Lukoil is going to carry out with ENI: it is an exploration project. We reassured the members of the Government that Lukoil will be a reliable partner for Congo. As far as gas is concerned, we are in the process of drawing up our strategy, which we will present to the Congolese authorities after discussion", Ivan V. said. Romanovsky.

As a reminder, Lukoil Up Stream Congo is considered the largest oil and gas production company in Russia. Its creation dates back to 1991. Lukoil set up its subsidiary under Congolese law in 2019.
