In the presence of the Minister of Mines and Geology, Pierre Oba, First Vice-President.

The purpose of this meeting was to bring together the members of the National Committee to discuss three points, namely: the EITI-Congo Report, which covers the year 2018; the setting up of the various commissions of the National Committee's Executive Committee; and the situation of the SIPAM company.

At the end of the proceedings, the Permanent Secretary of the National Executive Committee, Florent Michel Okoko, presented the conclusions to the press.

"On these three points, he said, fruitful discussions were held. The EITI-Congo 2018 Report was adopted; the commissions of the National Executive Committee will be set up, but the Executive Committee decided to exclude the company SIPAM from the National Committee, for reasons of internal regulations".

With regard to the 2018 Report that was adopted, Florent Michel Okoko specified that "in terms of background information on the EITI, a certain amount of information (which has undergone a certain evolution in the 2019 and 2020 financial years) has not been indicated. However, Minister Ngatsé informed participants that the Government will ask the authorised services to make this information available to the Independent Director for the 2019 and 2020 financial year. This information currently exists and is part of our discussions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).  This information should be available to allow for a much more assertive development in the 2019 and 2020 reporting exercise".
