16 sep, 2021

On Thursday 16 September 2021 in Brazzaville, the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio, Rigobert Roger Andely, opened, by videoconference, the ministerial budget conferences for the elaboration of the draft State budget for the year 2022.

The conferences, which he co-chaired with his counterpart in charge of the Economy, Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration, Ingrid Olga Ghislaine Ebouka-Babackas, began with debates on the needs of six Ministries out of the 38 in the Government. These are the Ministries of Land Affairs and State Property, in charge of relations with Parliament; Mining and Geology; Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries; Industrial Development and Promotion of the Private Sector; Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technological Innovation; and Pre-school, Primary and Secondary Education and Literacy.

It should be noted that these ministerial budget conferences should be completed before the opening of the budget session of the two chambers of Parliament (Senate and National Assembly) scheduled for Friday, October 15, 2021 and devoted primarily to the review and adoption of the 2022 Finance Act.
