Insurance- ARC is paying and searching for injured customers

18 juin, 2018

The general department  of  ARC (Assurance et Reassurances du Congo) is now paying for claims of all years across the country. The operation was launched on Monday, June 18, 2018 in Brazzaville by its general manager, Marc Gaston Akobo.

The campain is intended for injured customers  of ARC (old and new ones), victims of road accidents, fire and others, who were compensated partially or not.

More than fifty or so injured customers came forward the first day to the cashiers to withdraw their cheques. Among them, there was Mr. Sadate Nguieson, victim of a road accident on August 11, 2011 in Gamboma on the trunk road nº2 (RN 2) during which he lost his left leg.

As he received his cheque for 10 million CFA Francs from the  general manager of ARC, Mr. Sadate Nguieson said that he was happy about the payment which was made 8 years after he had the accident.

The operation was considered as "a new event" by the director of production and development, Aude Vaya, because "ARC has simultaneously launched the payment of claims and the search for injured customers across the country» he said. As a fact, a free green phone number has been provided for those willing to report on their cases. The phone number is 7575.

As he was interviewed by the journalists about the reasons for the delay in payment, the general manager of ARC explained that some files were lost during social and political turmoil. It took time to find them, to prepare them  and to get them ready for payment. In any case, the most important thing is that ARC does its job, that of paying beneficiaries. ARC is like an after sale department.

ARC was founded 45 years ago on October 13, 1973. It is under the Ministry of Finance and Budget. Over the last three years, it has paid 7 billion CFA francs to injured customers.
