Elio Perdomo, Cuban Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, announces to Jean-Baptiste Ondaye the holding of the Summit of the Group of 77 plus China in Havana

Thursday, March 23, 2023 in Brazzaville, Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, offered his hospitality to the Cuban Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elio Perdomo.
At the end of this hearing, Elio Perdomo, who has been making a working visit to the Republic of Congo since Wednesday March 22, 2023, confided in the press.
He said he had talks with the Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance on the course of bilateral relations between Cuba and Congo. In particular, politically, diplomatically and in the field of education. The two interlocutors agreed on the maintenance of the training of young Congolese in Cuba in several fields, such as Health. They discussed the possibility of working together to explore other areas of cooperation and strengthen these bilateral relations.
On the same occasion, Elio Perdomo announced to Jean-Baptiste Ondaye the holding, in 2023, in Havana (capital of Cuba), of a Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77 (G 77) countries non-aligned plus China. Summit to which the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou-N'Guesso will be invited.
For the record, the Group of 77 at the United Nations, headquartered in New York (USA), is a coalition of developing countries, founded on June 15, 1964. It is designed to promote the economic and political interests of its members and create an increased negotiating capacity in the United Nations.
It should be noted that the Republic of Cuba assumes, in 2023, the current presidency of this Group.
