THE CONGOLESE MINISTRY OF FOREST ECONOMY RECEIVES COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR THE COMPUTERIZED LEGALITY VERIFICATION SYSTEM (SIVL)

Thursday June 8, 2023, at the headquarters of the Integrated Public Sector Reforms Project (PRISP), supported by the World Bank, in Brazzaville, Audrey Alban Mapithy-Ma-Mapithy, Administrative and Legal Advisor (CAJ) to Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, Minister Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, received and then officially handed over a donation of IT equipment. These are intended for the operation of the computerized system for verifying the legality of the marketing of wood from Congolese forests (SIVL).
 
The ceremony was chaired by Thomas Bandia, PRISP Coordinator. In the presence of Samuel Ossebi-Mbila, General Inspector of services of the Ministry of Forestry Economy (Administration benefiting from the equipment) and Elenga-Ngaporo Okina, APV-FLEGT Focal Point (Voluntary Partnership Agreement-Forest law enforcement, governance and trade – Program for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade).
 
Samuel Ossebi-Mbila, representative of the beneficiary Administration, specified that the donation of IT equipment is made up of 48 desktop computers (desktop 134 gb/1tb-hdd hp pro + hp v22v21.5p screen); 48 memory sticks (desktop-ddr4/4gb crucial installed); 48 software (Microsoft Windows 10 pro installed); 48 software (Microsoft Office Professional 2021 installed); 12 antivirus (Kaspersky internet security 4 stations 1 year installed); 12 inverters (1000 VA Ncts-Nu 7110); 12 inverters (1000 VA Ncts-Nu9220); 48 adapters (Wifi 150 MBPS mini USB); 12 printers (multifunction color MFP-M283FDN HP 207A); 24 power strips (APC) and 24 regulators (1500 VA APC).
 
“This high-quality IT equipment, which we have just received, thanks to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, through the World Bank (WB), through the Integrated Public Sector Reforms Project (PRISP), will be distributed equitably to the 12 departmental directorates of the Ministry of Forestry Economy, in the 12 departments of the Republic of Congo. Because we are in the process of implementing, throughout the national territory, a module called Taxation on the management, security and monitoring of taxes generated by forestry companies,” declared Inspector General Samuel Ossebi-Mbila .
