48 million FCFA for the National Solidarity Fund and the Covid-19 Fund

The National Solidarity Fund and the Covid-19 Fund were supplied with 48 million FCFA, on Thursday 14 May 2020, in Brazzaville. The various cheques were received by the Budget Minister Delegate, Ludovic Ngatsé.

On the list of donors are the operators of the semi-industrial mining sector, who handed over a cheque of 30 million FCFA; the Citizens' Rally -RC-, a political party close to the Majority, 10 million FCFA; the Economic, Social and Environmental Council -CESE-FCFA,5 million and the Kenny’s-Miles Travel Group, mainly specialised in clothing, 3 million FCFA.

On behalf of the Head of State, Denis Sassou N’Guesso, and the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Clément Mouamba, I thank you all, for this positive response to the call of the President of the Republic, in contributing for the fight against the Coronavirus. We also call on other political parties, associations, religious denominations, citizens and friends of Congo to do same, in order to raise the money necessary to resolve this crisis, in its economic and social consequences”, the Minister Ludovic Ngatse said, while receiving these cheques.
