
Christian Yoka is an expert in development finance.
Before being appointed Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio Christian Yoka had a leading international experience at the French Development Agency where he held the position of Director for Africa.
He had previously held several managerial positions, as Country Manager for Cameroon and the Central African Republic, Country Director in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia and Cameroon. He was then appointed Regional Director for East Africa in Kenya.
This experience of more than 20 years has enabled him to master development issues, in diverse areas, dealing withmultiple actors from the public as well as the private sector.
Mr. Yoka has also held various positions as board member for entities such as Alucam and Africa Guarantee Fund. In addition, he chaired the Advisory Investment Committee of the investment fund (FISEA), managed by Proparco, AFD Group's subsidiary dedicated to the private sector.
Christian Yoka holds a graduate degree in Business and Tax Law from Paris-I-Panthéon-Sorbonne University and a Master's degree in International Banking and Finance Law from Boston University. He is also an alumnus in public policy from London University (SOAS).
