17 Oct, 2017

After two days of exchange of experience on the main theme : "Pay and pension management: integrated management information system or not, and internal oversight",  the participants in the 11th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Treasury Services (IATS) held from 16 -17 October, 2017 in Brazzaville (Congo) agreed on the use of the IT tool to secure pen-sion and payroll transactions.

According to the outgoing IATS chairman Henri Loundou, the objectives that they set have been achieved. He invited everyone to share  their e-mail addresses in order to continue to exchange their views, either to remotely share additional documents or to obtain further clarification on some subject brought up during the meeting.

The Secretary General of IATS, Didier Cornillet, urged the participants, once back home, to send to the General Secretariat  all documents that they would find useful to share with mem-ber countries, and that could be included in the documentary database of the Association's website.

Closing the proceedings, the Principal Private Secretary, Emmanuel Akouala-Mpan, repre-senting the Congolese Minister of finance and budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo, said he was happy about the successfulness of the meeting held in Brazzaville.

After hosting the 11th meeting of the IATS and  having chaired the Association for one year, Congo will  pass on the baton to Mauritania at the end of the Association's Annual general meeting scheduled for October 18, 2017 in Brazzaville. Thus, the 12th Annual international meeting, coupled with the next IATS Annual general meeting, will be held in this West African country in 2018.
