On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Brazzaville, the Minister of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio, Christian Yoka, received in audience, in his office, the Turkish Ambassador to Congo, His Excellency Hilmi Ege Türemen, accompanied by his staff. During their meeting, the two men reviewed cooperation issues between the two countries.

Addressed by the press after the audience, Hilmi Ege Türemen stated that "the issues discussed included, for example, investments being made in various Turkish companies." We also looked at the various projects we can carry out together in the future. These projects are numerous. And we need the support of the Minister of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio. I gave him the details of all these projects. In short, we had very productive and encouraging discussions. He listened attentively. And this will help us move forward on all projects that concern both countries.

It should be noted that the Republic of Congo has been developing its cooperation with Turkey for over a decade. This cooperation has already contributed to the establishment of several Turkish companies in the Republic of Congo, in various sectors, such as the economy, education, real estate, energy, mining, sanitation, logistics, and port activities.
