Customs - The One stop office for customs clearance opens in Dolisie

On Monday August 14,2017 in Dolisie( «capital city of the green gold and administrative city of the department of Niari), the Minister of finance's Private Secretary, Emmanuel Akouala-Mpan, officially opened the one stop office for the clearance of goods for users. The ceremony took place at the same time as the inauguration of a new branch of the Banque Postale du Congo by the prefect Andre Ovu, where the one stop office will be located.

The opening of a one stop office in Dolisie, which takes place two weeks after the opening of another office in Ouesso on August 1, by the Private Secretary Akouala -Mpan, is part of the commitment made by honourable Calixte Nganongo, Minister of finance, budget and public portfolio in the field of computerization of the excise departments in order to make simple, to modernize and to protect the collection of the state revenues.

In fact, the one stop office (OSO) aim is to make simple the formalities of entry, outgoing or transit of goods, to reduce the cost and the time of completion of business transactions and to improve the transparency of data exchange between various administrations.

The opening of a one stop office in Dolisie had been preceded by a meeting of sensitization on the way of using this work instrument, which is taking place in the meeting room of the prefecture, between the customs officers of Niari, Bouenza and Lekoumou, the shipping agents and the business operators of these three departments. By the way, let us mention that as for the departments of Bouenza and Lekoumou, the activities will take place in Dolisie before the ministry of finance opens a one stop office in Sibiti and Nkayi.

At the meeting, the Private Secretary invited the participants to work for ownership of modernization reforms in order to meet the objectives of the government : competitiveness, attraction and increase of revenues.

As regard the inauguration of the new branch of the Banque Postale du Congo as a partner of the ministry of finance, it will be worth noting that the one stop office will, from now on, work along with the customs and the treasury the offices of which are located in the brand new building on avenue Jean Jacques Mouaya opposite the Marche Central of Dolisie.

The importance of this double event increased with the presence of the chairman of the board of directors (CBD) of the Banque Postale of the Department of Niari.
