The one stop office is part of the changes brought to the services of public finance in Congo. It introduces the computerization of excise departments as required by honourable Calixte Nganongo, Minister of finance, budget and public portfolio, in order to simplify, modernize and protect state revenues.

So, the one stop office henceforth gives to the economic operators of Ouesso the possibility to submit in one place the information and the documents about public administrations which are involved in the formalities of import, export or transit business.«Completing the formalities of clearance in one place makes things easy for users of customs, the economic operators», Emmanuel AKouala-Mpan said.

«The branch of the Banque Postale du Congo in Ouesso has been chosen in order to work in partnership with the one stop office. All current transactions such as the payment of liquidations will take place there», the general manager of the Bank, Calixte Tabangoli, further said.

Let us mention that before the opening of a one stop office in Ouesso, the Minister of finance, budget and public Portfolio's private secretary, along with the Chief Executive officer of the customs and indirect tax and the private secretary of the minister of post office and telecommunications had a meeting with customs officers, junior heads of section and forwarding agents on the role that the customs have to play in the opening process of one stop offices. They collect information and send it to the authorities concerned and coordinates monitoring so as to have a smooth running of the logistic process.

Let us recall that to date, one stop offices for customs clearance are already operational in three Congolese cities: Pointe-noire, Brazzaville and Ouesso. The one stop office in Dolisie in the department of Niari will open on August 13, 2017.
