The elective General Assembly of the Congolese Workers' Trade Union Confederation (CSTC), section of the General Directorate of the Budget (DGB), was held on Friday, May 9, 2025, in Brazzaville, at the premises of the Ministry of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio. A new nine-member Executive Board was established. It is headed by its Secretary General, Jean Mpoako.
Supervised by Euloge Mboussa, Secretary General of the National Federation of Financial Regulatory Workers (FENATREF), a CSTC affiliate, the vote for the other new members of the union branch's Executive Board yielded the following results: Secretary in charge of organization and mobilization, Guennolé Tsikoubaka Filankembo; Secretary in charge of union training, Jean Constant Akouala Nkou; Secretary in charge of professional elections, Gide Marcel Baneya Ottou; Secretary in charge of social affairs and solidarity, Marlène Oba; Secretary in charge of sports and leisure, Roger Okou Ndouniama; Secretary in charge of communications, Aloïse Koko; Secretary in charge of labor disputes, human rights and freedom, André Serge Odou; and Secretary in charge of finance and materials, Mariette Michelle Motopenza.
Approached by the press, Jean Mpoako, the new Secretary General, declared that he had fully grasped the mission now assigned to him: that of presiding over the organization's future. "The mission is a difficult one. But we will strive to carry it out successfully and harmoniously. So, no more conflicting unions! We, CSTC-Budget, are a union section dedicated to conciliation and negotiation. It's up to you, dear fellow union members, to give us the tools we need, when we need them, to engage in dialogue with management. We look forward to your proposals for working methods. We cannot end our remarks without thanking the Directorate General of the Budget for allowing us to hold this elective General Assembly," concluded the new Secretary-General.
