Fight against COVID-19

New equipment to fight against Coronavirus received by Clément Mouamba
30 Dec, 2020

The Prime Minister, Clément Mouamba, accompanied by the Ministers Ludovic Ngatsé (in charge of the Budget) and Lydia Mikolo (of Health) visited, on Wednesday 30 December 2020, the new latest-generation equipment put into operation at the Brazzaville University Teaching Hospital Centre (CHU).

This equipment is composed, among others, of moveable beds with respirators, figurine and other equipment, as well as a batch of consumables. This equipment is installed in the rheumatology building, rehabilitated for this purpose.

The Italian company Althéa, managed by Alessandro Dogliani, who delivered the equipment, will be responsible for training the staff on how to use it. The Minister of Health expressed her satisfaction with this company for meeting the delivery deadlines. "This equipment will help improve the quality of patient care," she reassured.

After Brazzaville, hospitals in the Pointe-Noire division (such as A. Sicé and Loandjili) and the Cuvette division (such as Edith Lucie Bongo-Ondimba d'Oyo) will in turn receive the same types of equipment.

As a reminder, in April, May and June 2020, the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget had received some cheques for the National Solidarity Fund and the Covid-19 Fund, to help the Government deal with the current health crisis.
