Installation of new inspectors at the IGF

28 FINANCE INSPECTORS START SERVICE AT THE IGF
10 Dec, 2024

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in Brazzaville, Mr. Athanase NGASSAKI, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Economy and Finance, installed the 28 finance inspectors. The ceremony took place in the conference room of the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF).

The Chief of Staff took this opportunity to urge "the new executives to display exemplary behavior, by demonstrating unfailing probity, despite the low salaries."

The financial inspectors, placed under the authority of the Inspector General of Finance, ensure the execution of the audit, control, investigation, study, evaluation and advisory missions, assigned to the IGF, the internal audit body of the Government, in accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of Decree No. 2024-91 of March 6, 2024 on the attributions, organization and operation of the General Inspectorate of Finance.

The financial inspectors carry out their missions in all public administrations, in particular at the level of the State with all its administrative branches (institutions, ministries), local authorities and public establishments, throughout the national territory.

The operating method differs from one type of mission (audit, control, investigation, study, evaluation and advisory) to another. It combines on-site missions (at the entity subject to control) preceded by preparatory work at the General Inspectorate of Finance.
