Institut international des assurances (IIA) ( International Insurance Institute) - The seminar on on-site inspection of companies opens in Brazzaville

21 Aug, 2017

For five days, from Monday 21 to Friday 25, August, 2017, the Congolese capital city will hold a seminar on the inspection procedure of insurance companies and the basics for writing a contradictory inspection report.

The seminar was opened by the general manager of the national financial institutions of Congo Brazzaville, Mr. Contant Badia, representing the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public portfolio of the host country, honourable Calixte Nganongo. The seminar is held by the International insurance Institute based in Yaounde(Cameroun). It is part of the continuing education programme for the executives of the Inter African Insurance Market Conference(CIMA). By choosing Brazzaville, the Institute shows its love of the country and its commitment to work relentlessly for the development of the insurance sector in Congo and on the African continent, Constant Badia said. He further said that «the theme chosen for the seminar in Brazzaville will, without any doubt, enable the capacity building of the participants as well as their effectiveness on the ground».

In fact, the efficiency that the insurance sector is after is accounted for by the economic diversity condition of today. The commodity sector, specially the oil sector is slow due to the significant drop in world commodity prices. It is time to get out of dependence on natural resources on which African economies have relied on so far(case of Congo) for 90% of their budgets.

For the record, the workshop is conducted by the expert trainer Ouattara Djagana,( senior auditor of CIMA), and taking place after the one held in Bamako(Mali), under the theme :«the documentary control of insurance companies: real ownership in national departments of insurance and use of the software».
