Minister's Visit to Congo Telecom Headquarters

CHRISTIAN YOKA AND YVES CASTANOU DISCUSS THE DIGITALIZATION OF STATE FINANCIAL SERVICES

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Congo Telecom headquarters in Brazzaville, the Minister of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio, Christian Yoka, and Congo Telecom CEO Yves Castanou discussed the digitalization of state financial services.

According to the CEO of Congo Telecom, the goal of this digitalization of state financial services is to ensure optimal collection of public revenue and improve the tax base. To this end, he continued, Congo Telecom proposes to implement a digital transformation program for processes covering all of the state's financial activities.

The one-on-one meeting with the Minister of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio allowed the CEO of Congo Telecom to first give a presentation on what defines this company, namely: its mission to deploy and manage electronic communications networks throughout the Congolese territory; its vision to be present in every home and business in Congo, to provide them with world-class services at affordable prices; its six values: service, respect, rigor, hard work, responsibility, and excellence; and its goal to become not only the leading telecommunications operator in the country, but also a leading player in the Central African sub-region.

This face-to-face meeting then allowed Yves Castanou to present to Christian Yoka the eight strategic pillars of the Digital Process Transformation Program covering all of the State's financial activities. These are: investment; cost structure;human resources; network coverage; offerings; brand; customer experience; and partnerships.

This working session between the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio and the CEO of Congo Telecom concluded with a guided tour of the company's various departments.
