Official Launch of the e-scholarship portal

17 Jun, 2019

Henri Djombo, Minister of State, in charge of agriculture, livestock and fisheries, representing Clément Mouamba, Prime Minister, Head of Government, officially launched the e-schorlaships portal, in the large hall of the rectorate of the Marien Ngouabi University, Monday, June 17, 2019, in Brazzaville.

E-SCHORLASHIPS is a reform project of the Ministry of Finance and Budget. It is a collaborative web platform between Congolese students, both nationally and internationally, on the one hand, and the competent authorities, in charge of schorlaships management, on the other. It is a tool that facilitates interactions between different stakeholders to better manage student records around the world and the payment of their schorlarships.

This official launch of e-scholarships is part of the modernisation process based on information and communication technologies (ICTs). A joint committee was established by memorandum N0.0580/MFBPP/CAB of 29 November 2016, responsible for relaunching the process of computerisation of student grants management, from the submission of applications by applicants to the actual payment of the grant at the level of the Ministry of Finance, through the processing of files by the Ministries in charge of Higher and Technical Education.

“The success of this project is an important start in the process of electronic administration, and will be part of the content paraglider that you make available to learners, especially after the completion of the interconnexion of the 11 institutions of Marien Ngouabi University, and access to the internet by fiber optic, thanks to the support of the CAB project” Henri Djombo said.

“This tool is timely, as it makes a significant contribution and support to the improvement of the institutional and operational governance of the national education system, and aims at a better match between training, education, qualification, learning and skills necessary for the development of the country”, the Minister of State underscored.

For their part, the students said they were satisfied with this new tool and promised to align themselves with the digital world.
