Revenue collection departments - Opening of a one window for customs clearance in Nkayi

In Nkayi, the capital city of the department of Bouenza where sugar is produced, Emmanuel Akouala Mpan, Principal Private Secretary of the Miniter of Finance an Budget, officially opened the one window for customs clearance. The inauguration of the one window for which the ribbon was cut by the prefect Jules Monkala-Tchoumou, took place at the same time as the opening of the branch of the Banque Postale du Congo (BPC) where the one window is located.

The piece of news about the opening of the one window had been given by the Principal Private Secretary, Emmanuel Akouala-Mpan, on August, 2017, on the occasion of the opening of a one window in Dolisie in the department of Niari. It is taking place 7 months laterand is part of the commitments of honourable Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget, as regard the computerization of revenue collection departments, in order to simplify, to modernize and to secure state revenue collection.

From now on, the Congolese customs computer system (SYDONIA) is available at the one window in Nkayi. So, customs officers will no more go to Dolisie, where there was a multi-departmental customs one window (Niari, Bouenza, Lekoumou).

The opening of a customs clearance one window aims at making  easy the process of entry, exit and transit of goods, reducing the cost and improving the transparency in the sharing of data between various administrations. 

The inauguration of the customs one window in Nkayi (located in the premises of the customs office in the department of Bouenza, in the first borough of Mwana-Ntô) was under the ritual of ancestors by the dignitary Jean Bingui.
