It is in charge of implementing the policy of the President of the Republic in the areas of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio.
Its main activities:
On public finance: study of resources, duties and accounts of public services, and the drafting of specific regulations governing financial and accounting activities of public service actors (drawing up budgets and accounts, collection of taxes, execution of expenditure, control).
On public portfolio: Managing of government’s involvement in State companies and parastatals.
Its key missions:
Legislation on financial, monetary, accounting and budgetary issues ;
Finance bills;
International financial relations;
Budget and tax reforms;
Development programmes with bilateral and multi-lateral partners;
