24th Ordinary Session of the Office Council of the CEMAC Rose Card System

Ludovic Ngatsé opens the works in Brazzaville

Ludovic Ngatsé, Minister Delegate for Budget, representing Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget opened, Monday 18 January 2021 in Brazzaville (Republic of Congo), the proceedings of the 24th ordinary session of the Office Council of the CEMAC Rose Card.

 

Opening the works, the Minister Delegate for Budget noted with interest the assessment speech by Elie Mbadinga, President of the CEMAC Office Council (Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa) Rose Card, "you have signed a partnership Agreement with your sister institution, the ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) Brown Card. I dare to believe that with the growing development of trade between our two zones, CEMAC and ECOWAS, the nationals of the CEMAC zone, victims and beneficiaries of motor vehicle accidents in the ECOWAS zone, will find in this partnership, the appropriate response to the damage they have suffered," he said.

Ludovic Ngatsé also praised the determination of the members of the National Bureaus "your organisation has evolved both internally and externally, making the CEMAC Rose Card a powerful, effective and well-established tool for supporting and accompanying sub-regional integration, particularly in terms of assistance to victims of cross-border road traffic accidents and facilitating the settlement of cross-border claims," he said.

From Monday 18 to Friday 22 January 2021, the participants from Gabon, Central African Republic, Congo, Chad, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon will work on several items on the agenda, namely, among others: the renewal of the Bureau of Office Council; presentation of the Activity Report of the Permanent General Secretariat and the National Offices; examination and approval of the financial accounts for the financial year 2020: a) State of budgetary execution of the Permanent General Secretariat as at 31 December 2020, b) Report of the Audit and Control Commission on the budgetary execution of the Permanent General Secretariat as at 31 December 2020, c) Allocation of results; Examination and approval of the draft budget for the 2021 financial year; Commission for Arbitration of Border Claims, etc.
