Securing the revenues of the State - An agency of Congo Postal Bank settles at the hospital and university centre of Brazzaville (CHU-B)

11 Jan, 2019

The official launch ceremony of the agency of Congo Postal Bank (BPC) to ensure the safety and transparency of CHU-B revenues, was presided over, on Wednesday, January 11, 2019 in Brazzaville, by Florent Balandamio, cabinet director of madame the minister of Health and Population, .

Indeed, to ensure the safety and transparency of public finance in the sectors of activity of this largest public health facility in Congo (hospitalization, outpatient consultation, laboratory tests, medical and surgical procedures), BPC has developped an application to collect hospital revenues with the involvement of officials and agents of CHU-B and hospital revenue.

This application is equipped with a biometrics module that identifies the staff of BPC and CHU-B. It enables to produce periodic reports that will help CHU-B Directorate General to take strategic decisions and consult, in real time, various receipts of the day and to register them on the account of the CHU-B opened in the Congo Postal Bank books for a better tracking.

Note that this ceremony, which was attended by Henri Loundou, cabinet director of the minister of Finance and Budget; Jérémie Mouyokani, the outgoing Director General of CHU-B; and Calixte Tabangoli, Director General of Congo Postal Bank, follows the BPC assistance Agreement for the operations of CHU-B revenues, signed on December 3, 2019, by the minister of finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, and his colleague minister of Health and Population, Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo.
