Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI-Congo) - Publication of 2016-2017 Reports, planned for February and June 2019

The Moore Stephens IFI firm, EITI-Congo independent administrator, represented by Elyes Kooli, is working to prepare the Reports covering the 2016 and 2017 periods. The first results of reconciliation were presented on Monday, January 7, 2019, in the meeting room of EITI-Congo, in front of the members of the Executive committee.

Parliament – The State budget for 2019 financial year adopted at the sum of 2067 billion 673 million F CFA

The Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, presented the budget of Congo-Brazzaville – 2019 financial year, in front of the National Assembly, Thursday 20, and the Senate, Friday 21 December 2018. These two houses of the Parliament adopted this financial bill unanimously, with amendment, to the sum of 2067 billion 673 million F CFA, against 1602 billion 600 million FCFA in 2018, an increase of more than 465 billion FCFA.

Congo/France Cooperation: the approval of five projects with high social impact

The minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo and the French ambassador to Congo, Bertrand Cochery, signed, on November 27 in Brazzaville, the financing agreements as part of the debt relief and development contract (C2D). Estimated at nearly 43 billion FCFA, the projects are mainly intended for underpriviledged social stratums, health and education.
