The minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo and the French ambassador to Congo, Bertrand Cochery, signed, on November 27 in Brazzaville, the financing agreements as part of the debt relief and development contract (C2D). Estimated at nearly 43 billion FCFA, the projects are mainly intended for underpriviledged social stratums, health and education.

The Ministry of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, called on, Tuesday 20 November 2018 in Brazzaville, the directors general and the heads of service of financial authorities to take the train of the reform.  This reform is defined in the General Report of the workshops held from March 1 to April 11, which resulted in the preparation of the Comprehensive Public Financial Management Strategy Paper (2018-2022).

At the end of a working week with the Congolese party, the head of the IMF delegation in Brazzaville, Alex Segura-Ubiergo, interviewed by the press, said on Wednesday 14 November 2018, that “the Mission has been satisfactory”. 

On Monday 29 October 2018 in Brazzaville, after the audience granted to him by Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget, The Chinese ambassador to Congo, Ma Fulin said that "China has suggested that the negotiations on the debt of Congo to his country start on November 05, 2018".

Two mining  agreements were signed on July 10th, 2018 in Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo) between the Congolese Minister of Finance and Budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo, and the companies Cominco and Luyan des mines du Congo in the presence  of his counterparts Pierre Oba, Minister of Minining and Geology and Fidele Dimou, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.

On Thursday, June 21, 2018, the Congolese government (represented by the Minister of Finance and Budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo) and the World Bank (represented by its director of operations, Jean Christophe Carret) signed two financing agreements for the diversification of the economy and statistics in Brazzaville.

The Ministers of Finance, the chairmen of regional financial institutions and the governors of central banks of the franc area met from  Thursday 12 to Friday 13 April, 2018 at kintele, in the northern suburb of Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo,  under the chairmanship of honourable Calixte Nganongo, Congolese Minister of Finance and Budget, in the presence of the  French Minister  of Economy and Finance, Mr. Bruno Le Maire.

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, the Congolese Minister of Finance and Budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo and  the chairman of the National Committee for the Political Advisory Conference of the Chinese People, Wang Yang, visited the main office of the Banque Sino-Congolaise pour l'Afrique (BSCA).

On Monday, May 7, 2018, in Brazzaville,  the Congolese Minister of Finance, honourable Calixte Nganongo, along with his fellow, Minister of Health and Population, had talks in his office with Mrs. Marcia Cobas Ruiz, Cuban deputy Minister of Public Health of Cuba, who was with her Ambassador in Congo, H.E. Mr. Manuel Serrano Acosta.

On April 10, 2018, the Head of State, Denis Sassou Nguesso, cut the ribbon in Brazzaville, on the occasion of the official inauguration of the main office of the Banque Sino Congolaise pour l'Afrique (BSCA-Bank). The construction works amounted to  35 billion CFA francs.
