
The finance Act bill submitted by honourable Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget, had been unanimously adopted with amendments on Wednesday January 17, following its first reading by the national assembly , and its second reading by the senate on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Palais des Congres in Brazzaville

On Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Brazzaville, Prime Minister Clement Mouamba, head of government of the Republic of the Congo and the Minister of Finance and Budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo, visited the general directorate of Tax and land and the general directorate of customs and indirect tax, so as to enable them know the main problems these two departments and to find ways of improving their performance.

On January 8, 2018, the Minister of Finance and Budget , honourable Calixte Nganongo submitted the finance Act bill for 2018 before the 132 senators meeting since last January 5 for their second extraordinary session of the third legislature.

On Monday January 8, 2018, the Congolese pupils who passed the entrance test to the Centre Professionnel de Formation en Assurance- CPFA (Insurance Training School), which is located at Soeurs du Sacre Coeur Cathedral in Brazzaville, came in great number to school for the first academic day.

On Saturday January 6, 2018, the Minister of Finance and Budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo submitted the finance Act bill for 2018, before the 151 members of parliament meeting for their first extraordinary budgetary session of the fourteenth legislature at Palais des Congres.

The Piloting Committee for the reform program of the information system met for its fourth and last session of the year on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in the meeting room of the Ministry of Finance and Budget in Brazzaville. The proceedings were chaired by honourable Calixte Nganongo, its current chairman.

On Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Palais des Congres in Brazzaville, the third senate legislature, meeting in budgetary ordinary session since last October 15, devoted a plenary session to the review and adoption of five items, among which : review and adoption of the report nº 6 of the Economic and Financial Committee of the senate relating to the bill on the amended finance law for the year 2017 and that of the reportnº 5 of the same Committee on the review of the bill on the final state budget regulation Act for the year 2016.

On Wednesday, December 20, 2017 the National Assembly met for its budgetary ordinary session at Palais des Congres in Brazzaville. The session started last October 15, 2017 and was devoted to the review and adoption of five items, among which : review and adoption of the reportof the Economic ,Financial and budget execution control Committee on the amended finance Act bill for the year 2017 and that of the report of the same Committee on the review and adoption of the bill on the state budget regulation Act for the year 2016.

Among the items on the agenda of the session held on December 18, 2017 and devoted to the hearing of honourable Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget in the Economic, Financial an budget execution control Committee of the national assembly, there were also the bill on the amended finance Act for the year 2017, the proposed budget for the national assembly for the year 2018 and the regulation Act bill for the year 2016.

The National Monetary and Financial Committee of the Congo (NMFC) and the National Credit Council (NCC) successively met on December 6, 2017 in Brazzaville (Congo), the national administrative headquarters of the Central African States Bank (CASB) under the chairmanship of the Congolese minister of finance and budget, the monetary watchdog, honourable Calixte Nganongo; in the presence of the Governor of the Bank, Abbas Mahamat Tolli and the national director of this sub-regional financial body, Michel Dzombala.
