Closing of the first day of the CEMAC financial market in Brazzaville-Kintélé

Opened by Madame Congolese Minister of Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration, Ingrid Olga Ghislaine Ebouka-Babackas, on behalf of her colleague Calixte Nganongo in charge of Finance and Budget of which is acting, and closed by Ambassadeur Nagoum Yamassoum, President of the Supervisory Commission of Central African Financial Market (COSUMAF), the first day of the financial market of Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), held in Brazzaville-Kintélé on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, under the main theme “Stakes and challenges of the unified regional financial market in Central Africa” enabled the participants to adopt 13 recommendations to revitalise the Central African Transferable Securities Stock Exchanges (BVMAC).

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission stays in Brazzaville

The Congolese Minister in charge of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, represented his colleague Ingrid Olga Ghislaine Ebouka-Babackas, Minister of Planning,  Statistics and Regional Integration, received a delegation from the IMF, led by Alex Segura-Ubiergo, Thursday 20 February 2020, in the meeting room of the said Ministry. For one week, discussions will focus on documents prepared by Congo, at the request of the Fund.

As part of the securitization operation of the State's domestic arrears, the Benin’s Management and Intermediation Company (SGI), arranger approved by the Regional Council of Financial Markets of the West African Economic and Monetary (UEMOA), officially submitted the Special Negotiable Debts Certificates to the Congolese State’s Monetary Authority.

Training Workshop on Banking Finance in Africa

From Friday 29 November to Friday 27 December 2019 at the BSCA headquarters in Brazzaville, the Ministry of Trade and the Central University for Finance and Economy of the China's People Republic organised, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Budget of the Republic of Congo, a training workshop on banking finance in Africa. This seminar was intended to financial and bank Congolese officials.

State budget for the financial year 2020

The Members of Parliament and Senators of the Congolese Parliament (Republic of Congo), meeting in plenary, during their budget sessions opened on October 15, 2019, adopted unanimously, with amendment, on Friday 20 December and Sunday 22 December 2019, respectively, the finance bill for the financial year 2020, which has been adopted in revenue at the sum of 2020 2, 175 billion 348 million 669, 503 FCFA and in expenditure at 1, 579 billion 350 million FCFA. This finance bill generates a projected budget surplus of 514 billion 722 million FCFA. It is slightly up on that of 2019, which amounted to 504 billion 165 million FCFA.
