The amount of 192, 304 billion CFA francs, with an additional amount of 42 billion out of the amount requested, provides the Congolese government with a breathing space.for the development plan of the country.
Mr. ABBAS MAHAMAT TOLLI, new governor of BEAC and a national of Chad, and the other members of he government of the Bank were sworn into office by the current chairman of the ministerial committee of UMAC, honourable Calixte NGANONGO, Congolese Minister of Finance, budget and public portfolio on March 31, 2017 in Yaounde, headquarters of the Bank.
After chairing two board of directors meetings, one being extraordinary and held on march 27, 2017, Honorable Calixte NGANONGO, Miniser of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio is going to chair tomorrow March 31, 2017 the sworn into office ceremony of Mr. Abbas Mahamat Tolli, a national of Chad, as governor of BEAC (Bank of Central African States) in Yaounde, for a seven-year term.
Martial DJIMBI MAKOUNDI, new General Manager of COGELO was appointed on the occasion of the meeting of the Board of directors held on March 25, 2017, to temporarily fill the position of his predecessor Nestor Tchissambou Makosso, who had been suspended. The new General Manager was sworn into office on March 27 this year.

An ordinary session of the Conference of Heads of State of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) will be held on Friday 17 February 2017 in Djbloho, mainland city of Equatorial Guinea.
Thierry Moungalla, Minister of Communication representing the Minister of Finance, chaired the ceremony in preparation for the launching of the first issuance of free public securities by the Congolese Treasury. The ceremony took place on the 14 February in Brazzaville.
